  • Pastor Kayla | Oaks Church | Red Oak, TX

MEET KAYLA About Kayla Pavao What is your Ministry Role? Creative Director. When and where did you get saved? At my church in Maui - King’s Cathedral when I was a kid and then I rededicated my life to Him at 18! Tell us about your family? My husband Kaleb and I were born and raised in Hawaii, but you would probably never guess that about him! We moved here after we got married and now have two of the sweetest Texas-born babies, Reign and Everleigh. What is your regular coffee order? It all depends on the weather, but a classic for me is a triple coconut milk 1 raw sugar latte! Who are the people that inspire you? My parents: more and more do I find myself awestruck at everything they did to handle raising seven kiddos. What is one thing that most people don't know about you? Kaleb and I met each other at 8 and 9 years old and we have been best friends since. We’ve known each other for 22 years now! Do you have any weird quirks? If so what are they? I HATE when my black clothes don’t have the right tint to them. Sometimes it’s a purple hue or a green hue and if I wear black on black when they don’t match, it drives me insane. What is your least favorite thing to do? Cook. You’d think having an executive chef as a father would inspire me, but I’m just not good at it. Kaleb is though, so that’s a win! Hidden Talent? I’m not horrible at cutting hair. What makes you laugh? My husband. No one makes me laugh so hard that I can’t breathe as he does! What is your biggest fear? Being forgotten.
