Pastor Joey loves his family, West Texas, leadership, books, coffee, movies, and technology. He has served in full-time vocational ministry for over 18 years. He has served in many capacities throughout his career, some of which include executive pastor, discipleship director, school assembly director, church planter, camp speaker and Starbucks store manager. He received his Bachelors in General Ministry and Master in Religious Education from West Coast Bible College and Seminary.

Joey’s family: I am married to Stacey Elizabeth Alcala, and we have two daughters – Isabella Marie (Isa) and Alexandrea Kathleen (Aly).
Ministry Role: I serve as the pastor for Oaks Kids Ministries. I provide leadership and oversight to our ministry, which disciples children ages 0 – 5th grade. I have an amazing staff that makes my job incredible!
Dream vacation: I would love to go to Spain and watch Barcelona FC play the real football (SOCCER), then travel to Ireland before a visit to Scotland.

When and where did you get saved: I was saved at the Austin Texas Church of Glad Tidings in Children’s Church at the age of three.

Life-changing moments: My life has been changed by my Wedding Day, the births of my girls and the day God called me into the ministry at age 12 at Roaring Springs Youth Camp.
